Cleaning and Polishing of teeth (Oral Prophylaxis)

Bad breath, medically called halitosis, can result from poor oral hygiene habits and may be a sign of other health problems. Bad breath can also be made worse by the types of foods you eat and other unhealthy lifestyle habits.

Hence Cleaning and Polishing of teeth is done in order to restore the health of the gums and prevent bad breath.

Root Canal Treatment

A root canal is one of the most common dental procedures performed, a  simple treatment that  saves  your natural teeth and prevents  the need of dental implants or bridges.

At the center of your tooth is pulp. Pulp is a collection of blood vessels that helps to build the surrounding tooth. Infection of the pulp can be caused by trauma to the tooth, deep decay, cracks and chips, or repeated dental procedures. Symptoms of the infection can be identified as visible injury or swelling of the tooth, sensitivity to temperature or pain in the tooth and gums.

Treatment involves removing of the diseased pulp, cleaning, disinfection and sealing of the pulp chamber and root canal(s).

Complete and Partial Dentures

Replacing lost or missing teeth is very important, both for your health and your appearance. A partial or full denture replaces your natural teeth and gives support to your cheeks and lips, so you can enjoy a healthy diet, look great and smile with confidence. Dentures can either be made from acrylic or metal, and are designed to look and function like your own natural teeth and the surrounding gum tissues. Today's dentures look very realistic and are comfortable to wear.

Implants

A dental implant is a small titanium fixture that serves as the replacement for the root portion of a missing natural tooth. The implant will naturally bond with the bone over time and will serve as an anchor for the replacement tooth. Dental implants can be used to replace a single lost tooth, several missing teeth, or can even replace all missing teeth.

Teeth Bleaching

Dental bleaching, also known as tooth whitening, is a common procedure in general dentistry. Whitening restores natural tooth color and bleaching whitens beyond the natural color.  The natural colour of teeth is within a range of light greyish-yellow shades. Teeth naturally darken with age and their appearance can be affected by the accumulation of surface stains acquired from the use of tobacco products and the consumption of certain foods or drinks.

In addition, the perception of the colour of teeth is severely affected by skin tone and make-up. Independent of the real colour of their teeth, people with darker skin or who use dark makeup will look like they have brighter teeth.
